What is Semaglutide? + -

Semaglutide is a medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It functions as an agonist for glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors, helping to control blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin production and inhibiting the release of glucagon.

In clinical trials, patients using Semaglutide had an average reduction in A1C of 1.3%. Additionally, it has been found to help promote weight loss in those suffering from obesity or overweight.

In addition to helping with diabetes, Semaglutide has also been studied for its potential weight loss benefits. A study conducted on people with obesity found that participants who took the drug experienced an average of 12% reduction in their body mass index (BMI) after one year.
